Hi Sharon,
I had a different regime to what you are having, I had 4 rounds of FEC 3 weeks apart and then 8 rounds of Taxol weekly. It does sound to be your hair follicles, I remember that itch sooooo well and it was the beginning of my hair falling out. Within a week I just started shedding, so buzzed it all off. I'd call your Oncology nurse and just run it by her, or the ward as you can generally get a nurse there and just ask. My itch went away once I started to lose most of it.
