I'm the same - used it for 2 treatments and found I had a strip from ear to ear that came out and I couldn't hide. I found that more upsetting than shaving it off. It does add a lot of extra time and some find it quite painful. My advice is, if it doesn't cost extra and changing your mind over the course of treatments isn't going to be a problem, suck it and see. People tend to fall into 1 of 3 groups - doesn't work at all, sort of works, and works really well. If you do go ahead, make sure that it is fitting firmly to your entire head for the whole time. Many places put a smaller cap on top of the first to ensure a tighter fit.
