hair colour post chemo
I am now 4 months post chemo and my hair is at the pixie style stage.I am still wearing hats as my hair is grey. Can I colour my hair now so I can ditch the chemo hats?

Yep, think that's what lead me back to the permanent one.
Hang in there.

Well my hairdresser put a plant based rinse through my hair but it still looking grey. I am so disappointed. I think I will wait a little longer and put a permanent in.
Brrrh.
I've got the short pixie cap of new hair too. But it will be a while before I ditch the cap and scarf routine. It's a bit chilly in Sydney!

I coloured my very grey hair as soon as I could (both times). Never had any problems. I think we just did a gentle rinse at first and then next time used permanent. I think like anything maybe just get the hairdresser to testa little patch first.
Good luck.

Hi Gels,
I had the same issue - my golden locks grew back dingy grey/mouse brown. My hairdresser also used a plant based dye and there were no problems at all.
cheers

Thank you Rowdy, I think I will give it a go. My hairdresser uses a plant based dye, so it is a little gentler on the hair.
It is a personal choice I spoke to my hairdresser and discussed when I should colour. Other people have chosen not to colour but myself I couldn't stand the grey as mine was a silver grey.
