I had TC Robyn and felt very similar to the what Tonya has described. I felt achey and sore, kind of like the flu, on days 3-6. very tired, slight temperature, slight nausea, sore mouth. I also got an itchy rash on some parts of my body that went away after the first few days. Perhaps a few other minor side effects I've forgotten now. After about day 5-6 though you start to feel a bit better and you can get up and do most of what you normally do. But I found I was constantly lethargic and lacking energy even on my best days on chemo (a bit like a mild hang-over).
It's not much fun. I would advise to plan to do as little as possible, accept all offers of help from friends and family, get yourself some trashy, lightweight novels to read and a pile of dvds. It's the one time on my life where I haven't felt guilty lazing around. So if there's any bright side to chemo, I guess it's that. And it does knock off those cancer cells of course.
