I agree,
it seems that those who don’t really understand the treatment and
continuous worries etc and are oblivious to the efforts you go through to get
yourself back on your feet. Even family haven’t a real understanding of this terrible
decease knocks you around. Like you guys my wife is going through the treatment
stage and needs a second operation and really the only people who seem to stay
in touch are our mothers and very very close friends, my wife’s best friend is
600 plus Km’s away and makes contact almost daily, she has spent 6 plus hours
on a train to spend a weekend with her and if doing the trip again next week
for a few days.
I wish I could do more but know I can’t but I’m
with her for every appointment, operation, treatment trying to be both a caring
husband and best friend, our two daughters also provide some fantastic support
while our oldest son and other daughter don’t seem to have a care in the world.
Sorry for the rant…….. But I think I needed
that :)
Fantastic to see you come through your radiation
treatment @Jen029, once my wife has completed her second operation we understand
she’ll be going through the five week plan of radiation. Keep up the positiveness
and remember there are others here who do understand and know the amount of
effort taken to date and moving forward.
