Elephant leg - swallon

Dear Ladies, I had an elephant leg last night.

My lower leg and to the ankle path were swallon, no pain no others, but bigger, like an elephant leg.

I started sore thigh when 3rd dose chemo, mine finished the 6th on 20JUN.  I thought sore thigh was because low blood level and bad circulation.  So I sometimes feel swallon on my leg and I usually put on pressure stockings overnight, and it come back normal.  However, it never been as big as like last night even though I start my pressure stocking in the afternoon.

I then use hot water to soap the leg before beding and use a pillow to lift a big up throughout the night.

This morning it seems feeling better and back to normal size, but hard to fold my knee up to my chest.

Does anyone experienced, and any idea on that?

Cheers...Rosanna

  • Hi Rosanna

Hope you are feeling better. There is no harm in getting it checked out though.

    Take care, Cis

  • Hi Robyn

I've report to the Onco when it wasn't that bad, they arranged a scan (just in case blood clog) for me, but it all looks fine.

I was sitting in the car since 7:00 in the morning until around 3:00, and then supermarket something, and then dinner out, and sit from 6:00 to 10:30pm, I wonder that's why it caused.

I was also thinking about the kidney which wee wee not enough, I'll try to observe one more day today, drink plenty of pure water, and take a little walk, staying home, to see how it goes.

    THanks Robyn

  • Hello Rosanna, nice to hear from you,but not so good that you are having trouble with your leg.You sound as though you have had this before,so I'm guessing you have talked to the doctor about it? If you haven't talked to the doctor,I would suggest that you see a doctor as soon as possible. It sounds like a fluid type thing, but there are also very serious things that can happen with the veins in your legs, that need attending to quickly.Take care Rosanna.xoxCheers Robyn
