I finished my chemo 16 months ago, and when it began to grow, like yours, it was all over the place, thick in the top part of my head, very short on the sides, and curls every which way. I ended up getting my hair thinned out in the thick areas so it looked more uniform. Apparently the hair grows differently in some areas and that is why it can look strange. My advice is keep getting it trimmed to keep it neat. Mine lasted almost exactly a year, and now it is back to straight as it always was. Good luck in the future
