I think it is an extra precaution to radiate the area that were exposed to the cancer. In case the chemo did not get all the cells. Mostly because it had spread to nodes too. I want to assure you that from all the active treatments, for me the radiation was a walk in the park. Get them to cover your radiation area with mepitel film so you don't get burned. It is amazing stuff! All the best x
