Day 15 after chemo, Friday 29th Jan

Day 15 after chemo, Friday 29th Jan. This time next week I will be getting my 2nd dose of chemo which is sort of a shame as I am finally coming better from all the side affects. Apparently I can get a pill from the Dr for the reflux, sore throat thing so I will ask him about that next week. The combination of menopause, fibroids and chemo has not been great to me this week but it is slackening off and I am taking my Centrum 50+ every day now. The skin sunspots are starting to heal I think and dare I say it I think a few have disappeared from my face. There is rather a nasty mole looking one on my leg though so I will show the Dr next week. Low energy equals laying low which is kind of good since my hair has started falling out in handfuls. Not quite at the mourning stage as I have an awful lot of hair but I think it’s coming

  • Yep we got several storms with good rain with a couple of big bangs to make us scuttle inside.

  • Brenda, sounds like you've had a truly sucky week. And crap about the hair loss starting. Dont forget that the cancer council have a wig "Library" you can access. Contact the bundaberg office. thats the closest one to us. Did you get any of that storm last night??? We got 66mms last night. and gentle rumbles now.

  • Brenda if the treatment is attacking your sunspots that has to be a good thing. Your positivity is shining through your posts. Good luck with the next round

    Take care

  • Duly noted, thanks. I think it was a part of being anemic as its all good today.

  • Hi Brenda, I was given a tablet from my Oncologist for reflux which is called Pantoprazole. It is great for helping with the reflux. I hope this helps you ??
