Cryotherapy gloves/socks for chemo neuropathy – anyone in Australia able to lend or sell?

Hi all,

I have metastatic breast cancer and have been on Abraxane since September (about 6 months in). I’m starting to get early neuropathy in my feet.

My hospital doesn’t provide any support around cryotherapy, but I’m keen to trial gloves/socks during treatment to see if it helps.

Before I go and spend $200–$300 on a mefucal grade set, I wanted to ask:

Does anyone in Australia have a pair they’re no longer using and would be open to lending or selling?

Or any recommendations on what actually works (vs what’s a waste of money)?

I also have Hashimoto’s disease & bad blood circulation, so I’m not even sure how well I’ll tolerate the cold—another reason I’d prefer to try before buying.

I’m on the Central Coast NSW and happy to pay postage or contribute towards cost.

Really appreciate any help or leads—thank you!

  • Thank you so much — perfect timing actually, as I’m going in for my first cryotherapy chemo session tomorrow 🥶 🧤🧦.

I’ve been loaned an Aurora medical-grade set to try out for a few weeks, so I’ll see how I go with it.

Really appreciate the tip about the cotton gloves and socks too — I hadn’t realised the liners were important, so I’ll duck into Chemist Warehouse tomorrow before chemo and grab some.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply 💜

Best of luck with it! I start on Friday or Monday. I was told the Amazon ones are the 'same as' the aurora ones, so fingers crossed they do the trick! I think the Aurora set already comes with gloves (though not sure if that's the case on loan). Will be thinking of you.

Sorry if the ship has sailed or this isn't quite what you're after, however this is what I was recommended by my nurse and it's fairly affordable - I was told to grab some cotton gloves to go with it from the chemist which I picked up for $10 via chemist warehouse.
