Chemo Day 1
Hi everyone.
I thought i would give you a heads up about my chemo today. Firstly i did kick its butt after the 1st hour. The 1st hour was the hardest as i chose the cold cap. I had snug warm blankets but oh my head killed. Had Panadol and then had some drug adavan oj I cannot remember. Once i had that i was fine. Went to the toilet alot with all the fluids. At home im ok. Headache and a bit nauseas.

- Hi@Trikki2 I had my first chemo yesterday as well,was nervous but tried to stay positive, drank heaps of fluids and had to wee a lot, back today for my nuelasta injection, have read some stuff from other people experiences about bone pain, nervous, but have to wait and see I suppose,good luck on your journey, I have TC x 4 one down 3 to go
- Sorting out what you need to take after chemo to stop the side effects is the biggest thing about getting through it. Good luck with the next few days.

- @Trikki2 glad u r feeling better - u will get into a routine with your medication now u know what to sort of expect (as every cycle can vary), I don’t miss all the pills I was popping during chemo ;) xoxox

I just slept for a few hours and yes.. had akenzio and Dezamethyzone as well..hopefully it works better next time..

- It's a thumbs up for Akynzeo from me as well.
- For the nausea, I get a tablet called Akynzio before my chemo infusion starts - it's one big tablet that is meant to give you 5 days of nausea relief and it really works - I don't need to take anything else other than the dexamethosone - ask your oncologist about Akynzio @Trikki2 - I believe it's fairly new.
- @Trikki2 that's fabulous - yes, panadeine forte definitely does the trick for me!
