When the uninitiated think of chemo, no-one ever mentions pain. It can be a big issue, headaches, neck aches, bones, muscles--who would have thought tongue pain was a 'thing'?
If you are happy to take a few more pills, ask for pain relief, I found endone or codeine helped; to be honest I yearned for heroine and the bliss of pain free sleep. That would have been naughty overkill, but you can't blame a girl for speculation. Some physicians say you don't need analgesia. Screw them. It's all about you and you will have to advocate for yourself, push for what you think you need.
