Chemo 4, day 11.
Easter Monday 28 March. Chemo 4, day 11.
Touch wood I am on the up and up. We went shopping in Coles yesterday as I thought it might be less busy and less holiday makers with all their flu’s etc to infect me and I was right. It was almost take your pick on the car parks and not busy at all. The grocery bill was a bit higher as there were more healthy foods in the trolley this time rather than the cheap stuff. I had my first proper meal in a week, chicken dinner with veg’s and while my stomach said what the heck did you eat, (ok it was more chicken than I should have eaten), I do feel stronger.
I am doing research today on osteoporosis (something I have to keep an eye on during upcoming hormone therapy) and as a side line I have found my diet and stress levels left my blood and bones laid open to this cancer I contracted. Hindsight’s a wonderful thing and what’s done is done but I can do everything I can to make my future much better, starting with a higher than normal grocery bill of greens at least until I can figure out a way to therapeutically grow some of my own.
Oh by the way, my whistle is back! Did you know when the mouth is numb from chemo it’s almost impossible to whistle? My bird Arnie is happy now I can whistle back again.
