Chemo 3 the second day
Chemo 3 the second day, Saturday 27th March. Went to bed at 10.30pm last night. I was surprised I could stay up that long but my Dr said it’s the steroids which is why they are only taken in the morning and lunch time. I had only 3 hours sleep the night before, yet I was up at 6.30 this morning, nice and early and cool for walking the dogs on their beach walk. I probably should have had breakfast first but that would have made out walk later and it might have gotten hotter. We did the whole 3km albeit in a dawdling sniff everything mode. I did the dawdling and the dogs did the sniffing lol.
I have a big black bruise on the back of my hand today over the ring finger bone but it’s not stiff to bend so that’s a good thing. At least the nurses didn’t mess with the main vein for anaesthetists, I still have that one good but the one they used yesterday is shot forever.
Big sook today and took Panadol at lunch time. I hate this spiralling down the rabbit hole of feeling ill. I can feel it setting in this afternoon, the zombie mode and I am determined to keep it away. Eat an iceblock, drink tons of water, walk around the house a bit, eat fruit tingles to chase away the nasty mouth troubles sneaking up, watch some dvd.
5.50pm I gave myself the Neulasta injection (to make new white blood cells) to my loose abdomen skin. Good side affect of being pregnant twice is all the stretch marks down there don’t have much feeling left so the needle didn’t even hurt.
