Chem with appendicitis

so I have my first chemo on the friday and get all the warnings of infection etc. Make it through to following thursday and have a blood test that says i have no white blood count. so get a phone call to say be careful. meantime i have been for last two days been bloated after eating and suffering consipation. so i took laxatives and pain relief and anti nausea medication.

All the things you should do......unless its actually your appendix. I had an emergeny appendectomy on the following friday and the had to wash out everything. spent 5 days in ICU while they worked on getting my white cells up. So now i am at home recovering on what should be my good week. I see my oncologist on wed to see if i can have my next chemo round this friday

    OMG, you really are having a fun time!! Hope the chemo goes OK for you and fingers crossed that the cyclone isn't as bad as predicted. Keep safe. Jane xx

    I had to laugh at your last comment, my mother used to say that. What a horrible time you have had and now a cyclone, I saw qld is in for it. Take care and good luck with the weather.

    Hi Jane

    they gave me 3 neulasta over three days to help my white blood cells. I saw my oncologist and its full steam ahead, tomowwow I go in for round two. and a cyclone is at present bearing down on us...........I think I must have run over a whole family of chinamen lol
