Yeah ....... everything is good. Onc has reduced steriod to 5mg per day now. I asked him if he can supply razor and blades as I need to shave. My facial hair looks like a beard growing on my face (obviously from the steriods). He seems happy now that things seem to have settled down. Still wants to see me every fortnight tho. Next visit should be for follow up on bloods before zometa treatment. Then all going well and once I have made the appointments and have bone scan and ct of chest, abdo and pelvis, follow up on those results. Here's hoping there has been no change to the bone mets in my spine and pelvis and no further surprises.
Has anyone been put on steroids to help suppress your immune system due to reaction (side effects) to taking Afinitor? Did everything settle down or were changes made re chemo, once you eventually got off the steroids?..Sue:-)
