Oh, good, great news then.
Take care, Lyn
Sorry Lyn,
I think I confused you. The other tumors were too small for CT scan to pick up but were picked up via PET scan before treatment started. SOOOO, if the 2 initially picked up on CT are now too small to be seen or gone then the oncologist said it stands to reason that the tumours on PET scan would also be shrunk/gone.
Sorry to cause confussion.
Cate
You must be pleased with those results. A bit bittersweet, though, I'd imagine
Take care, Lyn
That's great news, congraties.
Thanks Lyn,
The Oncologist told me the 2 tumours picked up last time were not picked up this time (there were other tumours picked up on PET scan). She said that is a great result so far.
Oh Cate, I remember the nerves I had, after my 1/2 way mammogram & ultrasound during neoadjuvant chemo. Luckily, I was seeing my surgeon the following day, so didn't have so long to wait for results. Even so, the waiting was awful. I hope your results show a good response.
Take care, Lyn
It is a stressful time waiting for results, all sorts of things go through your mind. Keep thinking positive and don't draw any conclusions until you get your results.
thinking of you with a hug
Trace ????????
Hi cate every time I go for a scan or check I feel the same feelings. It is always the unknown that terrifies me more. As some of the other ladies have said bc keeps giving us grief. I'm off to see my oncologist on Friday as well to get results from scans. I have to keep telling myself better to find out what is going on rather than imagining what could be wrong. I don't know about you but my imagination runs wild.
Good luck to you on Friday and take a big breath and try to relax.x
I presume they are trying to shrink the cancer? Probably just a sticky beak to see if the type of chemo they chose is being as effective as they had hoped. If not, there is always several other sorts they can opt for. Just a bit of an inconvenience to you though, putting you all on edge again. Here's hoping its an exceptionally good result.
