Yes you most certainly can have someone with you while the chemo is being administered. Take along something to eat for that person as only the chemo patient got lunch when I was going. Clinics get busy and it is an very good idea to have your care person there to sound the alarm should a reaction start. I know when I had a reaction my brain never even remotely focussed on pushing that nurse button, I was too busy with the effects and hubby saved the day by running to the next row of chairs to find the nurse. You can if you want see if your breast nurse can sit with you? Mine came by for a chat once while I was having chemo.
