A C Chemo
Today is my 1st cycle of A C chemo, to say i'm nervous is really an understatement. I have already had a good cry & am trying my best to be brave, but it is so hard when you don't know how each indi...
As you go in, ask if you may have a sea view chair if you like. When I had a reaction it was within the few couple of minutes of the actual chemo stuff (after pre-med and saline) that it happened. Usually your chemo nurse will stick around to make sure your body is taking it just fine. I had no trouble on the first round, I don't think my body knew what was hitting it but on the second round it went no flaming way! You don't die, just go a bit red and flustered and they will quick smart turn the chemo off and let you come good and slip a little more pre-med in to fool your body again.
I was fine when I got home from the first lot of chemo and cooked dinner just the same as I always do. The pre-med steroids for anti nausea had me up till all hours and I remember thinking shouldn't I be sick by now? Here hoping you will be just as good as I was first round. XXXX
