i had my first chemo on a Thursday and by the Sunday I started vomiting and daihorrea. I just figured that was supposed to happen. After 4 days of sitting on the toilet with a bucket in my lap, I finally went to the hospital and was admitted for 5 days. It ended up that they up'd the dose of cortisone each treatment and I had ondansetron wafers. After the 2nd dose they change the carboplatin for cyclophosphomide as I was still really sick for 12 days. The next treatment i still got sick but I was able to contain the really bad sickness to one to two days. Don't be afraid to go to the hospital. If it's really bad, don't just put up with it thinking that this is how it's meant to be. Let your onc know as they will be able to do things to make it a bit better for you.
