Oh, I drove in Week 3 (just locally) ;)

Jen, I was home on day 3 and had my partner with me for 2 days, after that I could shuffle about and manage, just no lifting, but simple things would be ok. Be good to have some support in place for your family, such as meals frozen if possible and someone to help with drop off and pickup of your daughter as you wont be able to drive for at least 6 weeks. x

im 38 and reasonably fit and healthy (apart from bc ! ) do you think I’ll be ok home alone while my husband and daughter are at work and school ?

Hey @Jen79x our beautiful @nikkid beat me to it LOL. Lots of support in the Breast Recon group, lots who have had all different sorts of reconstructions. I had a diep, pop a post in there, we look forward to helping. xx Melinda

Hey @Jen79x why don't you join the Choosing Breast Reconstruction group? There is heaps of expertise there and lots of us have had DIEPs - as well as photo stories of what to expect, how it looks etc
