Hi all
i just had my recent pet scan and I am NED!!
I can not believe it. I’ve had breast cancer, skin, liver, lower sacrum bone and extensively in my pleural lining.
I thought I’d share my news to give hope to others and reading positive news really helped and inspired me.

Thanks @Blossom1961 and Giovanna_BCNA
I’m realistic in that one day the bloody bugger will get clever and resist my current drugs and pop back up. But like a pesky cockroach I ll be ready and waiting with my hammer to send it packing again. And in the meantime new drugs are being developed

Congratulations, what great news

Congratulations @Palmbeachprincess
Such wonderful news!! So happy for you. You are so right, there are so many new drugs being developed. What drugs are you taking now.1 -
@PV123
I currently take abemaciclib (an oral chemo drug, that I pay $5000 per month for!) and fulvestrant which is 2 injections in the bottom each month. Plus every 3 moths xgeva. A bone strengthening injection.I ve done the full Monty though, chemo, Radiotherapy, tamoxifen etc.Xx0 -
Hi @Palmbeachprincess
Is abemaciclib not subsidised through PBS. That seems like a lot to pay, could your Onco request cheaper price as compassionate access. It is wonderful news that it is working.0 -
@PV123
its a new drug and not yet available for me under my circumstances on the pbs.my Onc is certain it will become on the pbs without the restrictions for me at some point which is good as $5k a month is unsustainable long term

@Palmbeachprincess, hopefully it does come on pbs and keeps having such good results. Good luck with your treatment.0
