Oh I'm so sad and sorry to hear that Lorraine. F*****g awful. No one knows how long of course but I have read here on this forum of people with liver mets responding really well to medication. Deep breaths comrade. Keep marching as long as you can. We're with you. K xox4

Hi Lorraine, my wife was diagnosed with liver Mets, this time last year...almost to the day. BC journey started February 2015. It’s been a roller coaster ride, one chemo works for a while, then becomes ineffective. Start on another, good for a few months, then scans show it to be losing effectiveness too. She’s now on Ribociclib, and it seems to be agreeing with her. The next scans will determine how good this new line of therapy actually is. It’s a long road, and I don’t think anyone can put a time line on it.4

Hi @LorraineB. So sorry & sad that you are going through this. I have mets in my liver & spine. I originally got diagnosed with BC in late 2012, but got the mets diagnosis in April 2016. I am on my fifth different type of chemo. But I am still very active & intend to stay around for many more years. Good luck with your test results. Big virtual hug to you. Xx5

So sorry to hear this @LorraineB. I don't have the words to express it. There may be more info on the closed group but I don't think that there's a particular time frame and I know from other's posts that many are able to live well with it. I hate this monster of a disease. Thinking of you.1

Well it is confirmed, mets to liver and lower back. Tbank you all for your kind words. @simon66 I hope the new course of treatment for your wife isworkinf for her.
@angg66 thank you, your post gives me hope. I know it will take me in the end, but I would dearly alittle more time to spend making good memories with my boys1 -
So sorry to hear this news @lorraineb ... as Kate and Simon have said ... there is treatment for it that will hopefully stop it, slow it or get rid of it. It worked for a friend in Zimbabwe.
Thinking of you as you await your results1 -
@LorraineB. I too have liver mets. I also have bone mets. My oncologist is working towards making my cancer like a chronic illness that needs to be closely monitored.
Live each day as it comes.6 -
Dear Lorraine I have been where you are too so I can tell you stay away from google firstly. I was diagnosed with 12 large tumours in my liver in December 16. I thought wow it’s curtains for me and wallowed in self pity for ages. However 6 months down the track they had shrunk to less than half the size 6 months later to tiny and last week the mri revealed just scar tissue nothing no evidence in my liver or my spine where it was in 3 places. I’m super happy but let’s face it who knows what where but for the moment I have been told it is a complete response to treatment so I’m stoked. The moral of my story Miss L is treatment works I believe throw in a dose of healthy organic food lots filtered water no sugar and lots exercise if you feel well and it’s called hope. 😊 I do hate to say this but really be positive breast cancer is now a manageable disease. You CAN do this you’ve got it!!!!!

Hi Lorraine,
I had spread to liver over 6 years ago - at the time, Dr. Google gave me 8 months. Statistics are not your story.
