Did BCNA not do a proper testing of this site to iron out wrinkles prior to putting it up for general use ?

When I have worked on new sites in the past we have run both systems in parallel for some time.

QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS:

1.  Take personal names off the messages to protect the privacy of members

2.  Make it easier to use as it is sooooooooo confusing at the minute

3.  Make the dates in Aussie format, please

4.  Have items appear in newest at the top again

5.  WHERE do we see the live leads to see what ladies are commenting on ?

6.  The 'search' area does not show blogs now, only BCNA things

7.  Why can't we 'preview' our work prior to posting ?

8.  Does the system still let us know if we have received a response ?

Thanks

Summer   :-(

PS  Waiting on a reply from my email of last night !

I am new to the site - only joined yesterday and I must say that I am finding it very confusing. I have been part of a number of other online forums and they were much easier. Plus the whole site seems to be running incredibly slow.

When I joined yesterday I tried on three different occasions to set up my profile, but nothing happened. Very annoying as I was really hoping this forum would be what I needed.

    Cheers, Christina

I agree with you. Please put it back to how it used to be.I don't object to change, but there are so many things that I just can't get about this!! Why is the text so big? Where are the new posts that come up every day? We used to be able to see a few on the first page amd then continue to the next page and so on.I have no clue how to find them now! The newest items are not at the top,and actually I don't know where they are.I did try to call up and talk to Daina, but everyone was in a meeting,so that is why I am writing here again.I hope that lots of ladies give feedback if they find it difficult too. Cheers Robyn

    Hi Robyn

I had a call from Daina in answer to my blog (which is about to be taken down) and she said they are working on ironing out the issues.

They are apparently trying to have the system work on the new style equipment so people can use it when on the train, waiting for doctors appointments etc as well as from home computers (so we oldies will have to put up with this new technology !).

Whilst the systedisplayed all personal information for a while they have fixed it, Daina said.

Once you are logged in you can see more - but I cannot find what she says I can so find so it will be a matter of time as to how much returns.

Re the live feeds - they did not consider that urgent so it may (or may not ?) be put back on.

Keep trying to work it out, mate.  We may have to suffer for a while.

    Summer  :-)

    Welcome Christina
BCNA are changing over from one system to another at the minute and as you can see by other comments not all ladies are enjoying the change. See my answer to Robyn W below.
    Kind regards
    Summer :-)

For me,the live feeds are  SO important to the survival of this blog.
