MOVED TO SYDNEY
Hello Sydney ladies! I have just moved to Sydney and about to begin new job. At the end of last year there was a mad rush to see my 2 specialists to get the ok to have my Infusion Port removed from chest. I was awake when they removed it, and it was pain free and fast. I also have the information in my envelope to give to the next Doctor. I am 2 years past diagnosis and they said they still monitor for 3 years very consistently.
I didnt admit to any one I had had Cancer of course when going for an interview.
I am managing to handle everything, mindful of my right arm, but seriously I have had to work just as hard as ever with a big shift like this one.
The only surprise for me is that out of the blue, my period has started with the back ache and discomforts associated with, a year after I thought it was all finished. I am not on any medication, as I had a triple negative diagnosis.
Is there any one who can recommend a great GP in the North/West Rouse Hill area?
So far, all is ok.
Cheers from Bel!

Tell me about your new job, what will you be doing etc.
Good luck with finding a good GP, I am sure one of the ladies will be able to assist. I am in Sydney lots for work, maybe on one of my trips we can catch up for coffee.
Is it good news on the period front, I am not so sure about that but the indicator is that your body is returning tonormal and that has to be good.
My hair isfinally going straight again, crazy how long I have had the chemo curl going. LOL
So good to see you online again.
cheers
Donna

I am a Pharmacy Assistant. When I had three jobs to choose from, I certainly didnt say "Oh and by the way, I have had Breast Cancer". I felt I would get a look in. One job was very detailed about asking questions about health, history of health, and what medications I were on. I did get that job, they interviewed for an hour, in the end I declined that one. Always felt bad for not admitting when asked up from. One company, we assumed I would get into, because of family contacts, who knew I had had cancer, were not interested in meeting me. The two I walked into and handed over my Resume and presented myself, literally turned it into a tug of war, decision was hard - until I was assured by a past employer of the best job to take. So I am going to keep my BC experience very secret now I am here in Sydney. I dont want it to spoil any opportunities and keep my fingers crossed. We certainly need the income. Cheers Donna, what are your thoughts on keeping quiet about our health issues?
