It's my first day of treatment today.

I am awake since 2.30am.

Trying to go back to sleep but it's just not happening.

It is the fear of the unknown that is so hard. We are all scared when we commence Chemotherapy. I found the actual treatment OK. The staff were very kind and understanding ....I took a book and watched telly to pass the time. We are all unique and have different responses to treatment....a lot of ladies have minimum side effects..and for those that do ..there are lots of medications they can give to alleviate them. I wish you well for the day. Chris.xx

I remember being a nervous wreck on my 1st day, its the whole scary chemo thing. The nurse came and gave me something to settle my strung out nerves.

The dex also keeps you awake, its all fine you will settle as the day goes along and the next one won't be anywhere near as scary.

Take care and sending you hugs

G'day darl... I am hearing you... I am doing my first round of chemo on Monday 9th September. I was given a goodie bag filled with stuff... so overwhelming. The not knowing and how you gonna feel is all natural darl. In one way I am looking forward to being bald 😜, cause of the premenapausal as it will be cooler. Your welcome to msg me if you want.
