Here's a series of screenshots re recently approved therapies for BC, showing the benefits to patients who are on them ....
They HOPE that this one IS approved soon, for Stage ll .... it is already covered for Stage lll
Genome testing is still seen as being expensive for some patients
Success with some trials reducing progression
Adding Progesterone to some patients on AI, reduces hot flushes .....
Sadly, up to 30% of those diagnosed with early Breast Cancer, with good surgery results & no lymph node involvement .... may go on to develop Metastatic Cancer.
But the GOOD NEWS is that 70% DON'T!
More research is needed to be able to 'predict' who may be susceptible to developing Stage 4/Terminal Breast Cancer, as only about 5% of donated funds, currently goes towards this research.
No-one knows who (or why) some will progress to Stage 4 Breast Cancer ..... Just be aware that it 'may' happen.
Everyone needs to remain vigilant to any changes in aches & pains that you are experiencing, anything 'untoward' with your recovery - whether 2-3 years after your surgery - or 5-10 years - even 10-20 years after your treatment has finished .....
You should also have bone density tests at regular intervals ....
