This was a very interesting lecture. Thanks for sharing it. I was interested to understand how our immune cells respond in the breast during treatment and how it can be a helpful predictor of future outcomes, with the aim of developing treatments that mimic and boost the immune response for people whose natural response is lower. The other presentation that was interesting was to hear about the progress of research being done into why anti-oestrogen drugs cease to be effective in some people who are taking oestrogen suppressing drugs (like Letrozole or Tamoxifen (“hormone therapy”)), with the goal of developing alternative preventative therapy and treatments available to this patient group.
Thanks for sharing!

What an awesome lecture - so much valuable info on (and from) the scientists who are working behind the scenes trying to better the outcomes for us all with BC.
The immunotherapy section was particularly interesting. I am sure it will be the tool of the future ...

On the news today, they are talking about the extra T-Cells that are created when women are breast feeding, (as explained in the video above) giving them a better chance at not developing BC.
They are the 'natural fighters' as first responders in fighting the 'invaders' that are cancer cells .....
