This was a very interesting lecture. Thanks for sharing it. I was interested to understand how our immune cells respond in the breast during treatment and how it can be a helpful predictor of future outcomes, with the aim of developing treatments that mimic and boost the immune response for people whose natural response is lower. The other presentation that was interesting was to hear about the progress of research being done into why anti-oestrogen drugs cease to be effective in some people who are taking oestrogen suppressing drugs (like Letrozole or Tamoxifen (“hormone therapy”)), with the goal of developing alternative preventative therapy and treatments available to this patient group.
