Ladies might like to know about breast reconstruction awareness day on Oct 18th
No fundraising.
Encouraging exercise.
It encourages people to make 'art' by planning a shape , then
mapping their walk/ride/run using the free app stravia.
Then posting it on socials on 18th.
The goal is to help women realise that there are many types of reconstruction options,
including no mounds. So women can make more informed choices.
You may like to 'draw' a bra, a bandau, a bikini, a boob- whatever you want.
Draw it on the beach and turn on your recording.
Kayak on the water.
Look at your local street map and see if you can find any shapes.
Lovely sydney lady.Luan Laurie Woods, who has had her own recon journey,
is using socials to try and help other women access information.
She has done a whole heap of interviews with patients and doctors and they are on her insta page.
Series called Recon 101
Plus she has a blog Rewritten Me
