New diagnosis triple negative BC
Hi all, I'm having a bit of difficulty reaching out to talk to anyone going through a similar experience - I'm 27 and just diagnosed with triple BC. I've joined the young persons group and awaiting to join triple negative group. I'm in the limbo period of waiting to be referred to oncologist and awaiting appt with the surgeon, so I really don't know anything yet. I suppose I'm just wanting reassurance and support from someone that has go e through a similar experience or maybe if anyone has any recommendations for other places I can go to for support, I've contacted a breast cancer nurse, but I haven't heard back yet. Thank you!42Views0likes0CommentsStop the ride...going too fast
I found the lump on Saturday15th August. They kept saying cyst. By Thursday I was told over the phone buying a box off nappies it was cancer. The bad news kept coming from there. It was triple negative. It was grade 3. It looks to be the Angelina Jolie gene one. I had 2 surgeries last Tue and Thurs (lucky I found it early and small but it was in 2 nodes) I am seeing the surgeon again tomorrow then the oncologist later this week. All this terminology is a new language that I have yet to discover the meaning for. I don't know if I'm stage 1 or 2. Just that its TNBC and Grade 3. Likely 6 months of chemo, they've said radiotherapy and the dr was hinting a double mastectomy and reconstruction. I am 38. I am exhausted. I'm confused. I'm scared and I have 2 little girls who need me. They keep saying not to google but it's all I can do. I am terrified.621Views0likes19CommentsSo stressed Triple neg 5cm need positive stories
So stressed out. Just diagnosed with nearly 5cm triple neg idc at 33yo, no children yet, with very likely node involvement (not enough cells for conclusive but looks very likely in an enlarged node underarm) but all other scans and tests show no other cancer. I need to hear from others with same type and relative size and years beyond to have a positive outlook. Can't sleep, can't eat after seeing surgeon today - mastectomy surgery within next 2 weeks and auxiliary clearance then chemo and radiation. I am just so stressed about weather I bother saving my eggs as I read the outlook isn't that good for large triple neg but all I've ever wanted is children but no point if I won't be around. please I need to hear from others who have positive stories even ones with reoccurrence of large triple neg idc. Thank you.5.6KViews1like74CommentsJust diagnosed - 22 years old
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer on June 20th 2016. I also know it is triple negative? I have to have some more biopsy'sand a bone scan to see if I need chemo first or surgery then chemo. My breast care nurse told me I'll be having the strongest chemo and probably having treatment for 8+ months. I am really scared about chemo. And also bout losing my hair :( i have long blonde hair that I love and I feel like I'll be ugly to my boyfriend once i start treatment although he has been so supportive. Id love any advice you have on wigs in Victoria and any tips for chemo Also is there anyone else around my age? Thanks, Maggie51Views0likes20Commentsnew
Hi, I am a 38 yr old single mum and have just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Two 3.5 mm grade 3 tumors in left breast (one might be metaplastic but pathology is not conclusive on that) and at least 2 lymph nodes are highly malignant. Am feeling somewhat devastated :( Drs are recommending neoadjuvant chemotherapy. So sometime in next week I will be starting four cycles of AC at two week intervals followed by weekly Paclitaxel for 12 weeks. I am a bit scared, but mostly concerned that I have no way of knowing if this treatment is best option. Grateful for any thoughts.1View0likes11Comments
