Can stress cause ca15 tumor markers to rise
Hi ladies I have been going along wonderfully nice low tumor markers each 3 weekly bloods . And feeling so healthy and at present really fit however in the last weeks something terrible happened in my life causing great stress and today to my great dismay my tumor markers have risen much higher suddenly. Weirdly each time which has been twice on my journey that my tumor markers have risen I also had a huge spike in my cholesterol level in which is strange as I'm a vegetarian who is fanatical about organic fresh healthy food that goes into my body . Back on the stress trail yet again back to ct scan and mri land does any one else have the higher cholesterol with their risen ca15 I mean they only went from 16 to 23 but that's a big rise for my predictable tm markers. Should I panic?Rising tumour markers, and advice needed regarding breast care nurse
I am now 71/2 months along since my diagnosis, and it's been one hell of a ride. I was started on Ribociclin but it affected my liver so I had to stop that, then I was on Palbociclin which last month showed a positive response to treatment with visibility of the tumours basically undetected. Now my blood tests have shown a slight increase in the tumour marker, from 86 to 92, instead of going down. So now I have to have ct scans, MRI's, and a possible pet scan to see what's going on. So here comes the anxiety again, wondering what's happening. I was told that it would be very beneficial to have a breast care nurse that is trained in all of this, and who I can contact when it's all feeling overwhelming. My oncologist works out of the Olivia Newton John centre, so I would preferably want a nurse who works from there. Does anyone know who I can contact about this, and has anyone been through something similar that could possibly reassure me about my situation. You were all so wonderful and so helpful when I was first diagnosed, and I'm hoping I can ask for your help one more time.CA 15-3
Hi, I haven't be on for awhile, so just when I thought things were getting back to "normal", I had a blood test and CA15-3 was something they tested for, it is a cancer marker in the blood, mine was 46, it seems less than 30 is normal, now I am going for scans. If anyone has any information that I should ask oncologist that would be great. Thanks heaps xx91Views0likes2Comments
