Lego! Feel like a kid again
Well, I’m 5 months in to my BC journey & am going to be off for at least another 5-6 more months (2 surgeries & 2 x rounds of AC chemo down, 14 rounds of chemo left, then radiation, then hormone therapy). I kept stocking up my spotlight online cart, but then I thought with my track record of not completing much craft, I turned my idea to Lego. I bought the kit of ‘The Office’ & I think this is something I’ll actually finish! The kids are sad because I told them they could only play with it if they were in character 😂 I’ve let them build the characters & help pass me pieces, but the structure is all mine. I’ve done Michael & Pam’s work areas. I’m trying to pace myself though. We’ve got to treat ourselves right, this is a crap thing to live through. Any other Lego kits anyone has completed or can recommend?
What a sunrise!
Hello everyone, I had the opportunity to go in a hot air balloon on Saturday morning and to see the sunrise over Melbourne city. How amazing is this photo. My husband took this pic as I was just enjoying the view and peace and quiet! It was really quiet up there (apart from the firing up of the balloon from time to time!). The 3 am early start to my day was all worth it just to see this sun rise! I've been thinking of our online community and how some of our members been having a really tough time lately with treatments, managing side effects and waiting for doctors appointments and test results. How hard this has been and how unsettling for everyone. The struggle to keep on top of it all and take one day at a time. This photo to me is really reflective and I found myself thinking about each new day, new beginnings, not taking anyone or anything for granted and how lucky we are to see the sunrise every day. Taking the time to enjoy this amazing country we live in, our environment, nature and our family and friends. As hard as some of those day may feel we really need to keep going, I feel very privileged to be able to be part of and share in your online community and hope that this photo brings some joy to you all. Inspirational books
hi I have a niece that has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Having gone through it myself I an keen to help her in any way I can. I was given a book of inspirational quotes that help me through my journey. Unfortunately I have misplaced my copy & cannot remember the title. The quotes were short and either funny or serious. Wondering if any one has any suggestions for a good book
Convoy!
Was just checking some posts. I was chuckling and admiring some of your network names - they are funny, cute, warrior, mysterious, powerful. And I imagined a movie like the old 'Convoy' movie. All of us network members are driving trucks or riding shot gun and talking on the two way radios using our network names - and we beat the bad guys after many hilarious and scary episodes!
Early Christmas present
Just received a great Christmas present - the new lump in my breast is not recurrence, but a seroma that has solidified to form a hard mass. So I'm not going crazy imagining things and it's not bc again. YAHOO!!! Christmas gifts come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and they're not always gift wrapped. What's the best Christmas gift you have ever received?Time out
I found this in clipart recently as I was looking for something totally unrelated. It sums up my days at present, a mad woman trying to do 10 things at once.
