7 months post chemo and eyelashes falling out!
I’ve made it to my 1 year anniversary. Survived 3 surgeries, chemo and radiation, now making my way through the delights of tamoxifen! I was so pleased with how my hair has grown back and eyebrows and eyelashes until my eyelashes started falling out recently and breaking off. Has anyone had this happen? Not sure if it’s the fallout from chemo still or the tamoxifen?
Hot weather headwear
Its warming up in Adelaide. My scarfe and Hot flushes are making me warm. I can't wait to get them off when I get home from anywhere. Any suggestions? My sister said can't you take it off if you are not embarrased when you are out and I said im not embarrassed but its a state of undress like taking your undies off when you are wearing a skirt midway when you are out. She gave me a link to something called a coolcap. Ive bought 1 to try out.
Docetaxel side effects
My next 4 chemos are docetaxel. Its side effects are really scaring me. Has anyone else had it and how bad was it? Does it make you loose hair as I have been doing the cold cap and dont want to waste all that time and stress. Also I've heard it can cause neuropathy, and some use ice to stop it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Ican see me sitting there with a cold cap , and hands and feet in ice!😲👣🖐😨
Blood nose and Silica Tabs
Hi, I’m not sure if this query is under the right heading, but my question relates to taking QSilica tabs for my hair and nails. Has anyone else had a blood nose while taking these tabs? I’m also taking Arimidex (Anastrozole), Gabapentin (for the hot flushes) and Caltrate Bone & Muscle tabs. Thanks JasiB
Repeated eyelash loss
Finished chemo 8 months ago A few months later I lost my lashes and a week later there was a little fuzz and all back in a month. Then 2 weeks running on a Saturday I wore false eyelashes over my good lashes and they disappeared. Been behaving and yesterday as I put mascara on (which I always wear) and saw a gap geez it looks like they're migrating again.. Has anyone else had several losses? I know it's not a 3rd world problem but it would be interesting to know. Because I have bare beady eyes without makeup I use a Kohl pencil on my waterline top and bottom with a smudgy line on my eyelid nearest the missing lashes. Gets me by
