🌱Wednesday Wellness - Creativity, Self-Care & a Special Giveaway! - 29July26🎁
We have an extra special Wednesday Wellness for you today..... When life feels overwhelming, creativity can be a powerful form of self-care. Whether it's painting, knitting, photography, colouring, gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, baking, writing, pottery, or any other creative pursuit, making something with our hands can help us slow down, focus on the present moment, and express emotions that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. 💗 During your experience with breast cancer, creativity can provide a sense of accomplishment, distraction from worries, connection with others, and space to simply enjoy doing something for yourself. There doesn't need to be a goal, and it certainly doesn't need to be perfect. The process itself can be just as valuable as the finished result. ✨ 🎁 This week's giveaway! 📸 Share a photo of something you've created in the comments below. It could be anything from a craft project, artwork, garden, baked treat, knitted creation, photograph, journal page, or any other creative endeavour. 🏆 The photo with the most likes will win a special home wellness pack! 🎨 Show us your creative side in the comments below! 💕400ViewsSign in to react to this post24CommentsJunk journaling!!
I discovered junk journaling late last year and have fallen in love with it. I even brought some craft things to do in my downtime in Melbourne today and tomorrow. I love that a lot of it is about using things I usually would thrown into the recycling eg cereal boxes become journal covers, paper shopping bags become journaling spots and food labels turn into fancy pockets. I'll attach photos of some of the bits and pieces from my everyday life that I turn into ephemera for my journals and a few pages of a journal I've made. Hopefully the photos are in order- Ephemera I made during my hospital stay a week ago that will go in future journals. Altered playing cards with motivational sayings on them. Old firns that I died with bougainvillea petals and a lace runner to create patterns on the paper Journal with the cover made from a cheezels box Scrap papers used to make a tiny notebook A pocket made from food packaging and the brown paper that comes in deliveries. Let me know if you have also discovered this hobby. Mel xxViewsSign in to react to this postComments
