Trial Drug
Hi All, So was with oncologist on Monday and was offered to go on a free trial for a new drug. Just wondered if anyone knew anything about it. It is called Neratinib. Apparently it has been released in the US. Trial approved but not funded in the UK and same in Australia. It’s for women who are oestrogen + and Her2+ and it’s supposed to lesson my chance of recurrence but only by 5%. You take it for a year apparently and side effects can be pretty rough. Would love to hear if you know anything more about it xxx211Views0likes9CommentsLow level laser therapy and radiotherapy
I had laser therapy the other day to help sort out cording issues. While I was there, the physio mentioned that it was being used overseas in trials to promote healing during radiotherapy for breast cancer. She also mentioned that although there seems to be a reluctance here by the radiation oncologists to use it, she was aware of a couple of people who had done it. Has anyone on the network tried this or investigated it?51Views0likes5Comments
