thank you all for your reply. since being diagnosed with cancer thats the only thing in my mind most of time that i forgot the financial aspect. i was thinking since its not elective they will just gladly waive the fee or the gap but its not the case. Hi GalMcb, Hello and I am sorry to see you in this forum. I think we are on the same boat, when my doctor told me that I need to have Perjeta but will need to fork out 10k for it I was hesitant because its a big amount of money. But when you think about it you cant really place money over value of your life. I have 2 kids and I have to make sure that I fight this thing will all I have and all the resources we are presented with. Money you can earn it but once a life is lost its lost forever. Hi Jovdp, For me, I had a port put in. I have a very small veins as in and I think for my first round of chemo it took 3 attempts for them to successfully put the needle. I am not scaring you but thats base from experience. Both my arms are so bruised from the encounter. Hi @Clea, I know and understand thats its a personal thing because you will loose a part of yourself which is your breast and will always be your decision to make. Just for unsolicited advise again, for me whenever I see my breast all I can see is cancer and I have to get rid of it. I want to enjoy life and to live longer. @Clea hello! Its nice to see you here although I wish you are not here in this forum as well if you know what I mean. In regards with your question, before I was diagnosed I also felt pain where the lump is. The pain is tolerable but a nagging pain that comes and goes but is constantly there. To give you unsolicited advice, I think the earlier you have the surgery the better. For me, its important to contain the spread of cancer because we really dont know how it behaves. ohhh ladies thank you so so much for all the encouragement. At the moment, it feels a very long way to go in terms of treatment but of course one step at a time.
