Tamoxifen after Hysterectomy
Hi All, haven’t been on for a while but haven’t forgotten what a great source of support and advice you all are. I’m 3 years and 3 months out of treatment. - LS mastectomy and tamoxifen. I am due to have mitral valve replacement within the next few months but I’m unfortunately having to undergo a hysterectomy beforehand due to heavy periods (warfarin will not be my friend otherwise) I’m wondering if I’ll still need to take tamoxifen after my hysterectomy? ( I know I need to come off it prior to both surgeries) and … long term …. What are alternatives to HRT to prevent memory loss/ osteoporosis/ turning into a seething beeyatch? anyhoo. Lots of loves to all of you. Many thanks in advance for any enlightening comments you can give me ❤️❤️❤️ xxxRe: Tattoo Questions
Yeah, I’m going to have to wait til at least August 2023. My current idea is a black/ grey tatt of a Great Tit... 😬 not sure if I’ll still want it by then... or If I will have changed my mind . At least it’s going to give me time to find the right artist and get the design right.48Views3likes0CommentsRe: Surgery without further Treatment
Hi @SazziBloss , great news on your results. I was fortunate enough to have a similar outcome back in 2020. Grade 2 DCIS, lumpectomy- luckily auxiliary clearance only needed 2 nodes and there were no cancerous cells there. unfortunately no clear margins so mastectomy followed. My surgical and oncology team looked at all my results and measurements and I was lucky enough to not require radiation therapy or chemo. I am now 1.5 years into 10 years of tamoxifen to protect my lone boob. I feel very fortunate to have survived this ordeal relatively unscathed. It does feel weird though and I sometimes feel guilty or that I’m less of a survivor because I didn’t go through further treatment after surgery. Such a bizarre set of emotions. Xxx love and luck to you xxx8Views0likes0CommentsTattoo Questions
I’m over a year out of mastectomy, and 6 months since corrective surgery on the dog ear I ended up with. I’m in regional WA, and looking for recommendations for a tattoo artist who has worked on scar sites. I know I will have to travel to Perth or maybe further. Has anyone in WA had a tattoo over their mastectomy site and who do you recommend? With thanks! cle
