You're right. It is quite a shock!!
And the diagnosis is just the beginning of a whirlwind of appointments with one doctor after another.
I too have just completed my first round of chemo - FEC. I have three of those then switch to TC for another 3. Well that's the plan at this stage anyway.
The nausea kicked in about an hour and a half after I got home from chemo. I was that unwell I didn't even have the stamina to shower the next day - and that's not like me at all.
I've been hit with the dreaded mouth ulcers even though I've been diligent with the salt water and cleaning of my teeth all the time.
I've also had a headache for nearly 3 days now. I've noticed a lot of hair in my brush in the last 24 hours so think my hair loss has begun. :-(
I'm dreading that to say the least.
