Hi Sue & Amanda,
I was diagnosed with TNBC grade 3 stage 3a in August 2013 and had to have to same drugs as you Sue except 4 doses of each. The first 4 were okay, lost my hair around 2-3 week mark but I had lots of scarves that I mainly used and a wig that I wore whenever I wanted to go out and not get stared at! My 1st docetaxel treatment really knocked me around, lots of aching and pain in every joint from the hips down, but this did seem to get less painful for the next 3 treatments. I have to admit Endone was my best friend while having Docetaxel but only for the first 3-5 days after chemo. I wouldn't say I breezed thru chemo but so long as I took the drugs before and after I managed to continue working the whole time. As everyone says it affects people differently, I had my chemo on a Friday and would use the weekend to rest up and return to work on Monday. I tried to lead as normal a life as I could still doing the things I loved. I was determined not to let the cancer take over my life. I also have had surgery and radiation. Radiation finished in May last year and I am now on the public waiting list for a reconstruction. And the journey continues...................... I hope I've helped and wish you well thru your treatment xx
