Feeling much better today and I highly recommend the Comfort Cushions for under the arm and side of the breast. I was even able to sleep on my side from the first night home using the cushion and I thought I would have to prop myself up and try to sleep on my back.
You were right about the feeling of relief having that ‘thing’ gone! Now I just have to distract myself until I get the results back regarding the margins and lymph nodes.
My daughters chipped in and bought me a grocery order/hamper that they delivered on the day I came home from hospital. It had all the good things like flowers, croissants, grapes, cheesecake, chocolates, and some gourmet style meals that are easy to put together. They are fussing over me like mad at the moment which feels really weird. It’s like they think I’m fragile now but I don’t really feel any different, well not yet anyway. From what I’ve gathered, the surgery was probably the easy bit and the worst is yet to come. 🙇🏻♀️.
I can’t remember what I was told about exercises and movements for my shoulder but I’m moving quite freely with minimal pain. I guess I best go look through the mountain of booklets and pamphlets that I have accumulated over the last week to see what I should and shouldn’t be doing.
All the best xo
