Not happy

Hi, Well I'm popping back in but I am soooo angry and upset. I was due for lumpectomy today. First I had to get hook wire placed in at radiology. Well they couldn'tnfind it on mammograms etc. their reason being that they think the core needle biopsy got a lot of it. All well and good except now we don't know if and how much is left. I have high grade dcis and am left high and dry. I've been told likely hood that ill have to wait 3 or 6 months for it to grow more so they can see it again. Oh goody lets live every day knowing that its growing but how fast. I just wanted it to be out and move forward. Now I'm dormant and playing the bloody waiting game again. Does anyone know of this happening to anyone. Thanks guys for listening. Marnz
  • thats almost cruel , put then in that position see how they react , like the girls say sometimes jumping up and down is the only way , I waited for radiotherapy and rang up the hospital and said I was nearly ready to do something to myself and they had me in straight away. BC gives us a voice and everyright to speak out after all its OUR LIFE they are playing with. hope you get some satisfaction,

    regards Adean

  • Hi Mich Thanks. I'll see surgeon next week but I don't like my chances. Breast screen Qld seem to think that I'll more than likelynhaveto wait 3 to 6 mths. Oh well I'll just have to keep waiting, waiting, waiting. Thanks again Marney
  • Hey Marney

That seems really crappy that they are putting you through this. They know you have a lump and no matter what!!! it needs to be removed surely so they just need to bloody well get on with it.

I hope you and your family do a lot of jumping up and down to get some action.

Hoping you can get some action and have that lumpectomy. Good luck.

    Mich xoxo

  • Hi Louise, I will ask about an MRI. I'm going to call the breast screening at nambour hospital tomorrow too, they all seemed helpful at the beginning. I am a bit biased but you're right, cricketing boys are just a lovely bunch of kids, generally. Hehe. Thx for ur support. Xx Marney
  • Oh...that.... is... crap! I'm so sorry for you as I can imagine how distressing the next few months will be. Surely they can operate around the site and do pathology. Did you have an MRI? That would show anything that is there that is high grade.....can you get a second opinion? Good luck, with your family around you you'll be well supported. I have a cricketing son too, cricketing boys are lovely boys. Louie
