In pain

I am very lucky to have no further cancer symptoms since my mastectomy last April .

However, I am still in pain especially at night -  cramps and pressure pains which feel like burns and blisters . Can still mainly only sleep on my back . Is anyone else like this?

  • Thanks for your reply Susan , and suggestions . They tell me the nerves will settle down eventually and scars will soften . I will think of you when I wake at night and wish for peaceful sleep for you , and a blessed and bright , pain free future .

  • Hi Jeanie, Sorry to hear that you are uncomfortable. I had similar discomfort but not the burning pain. A lot of muscle spasms and tingling. I found that wearing a firm fitting sports crop top really helped during the day and at night I wear a less tight soft crop top. I am also trying a lymphatic massage every 2 weeks and that helps. I actually feel a bit twisted in my left breast but the right one is ok even if a bit tight. I wake up in the night when I turn over and my back hurts after a few hours. A good nights sleep would be heaven.
