Hi Donna, I have had a double mastectomy and reconstruction with implants, and have had no regrets. However, I was 53 when I did this and it was still a huge decision. I have seen some really good reconstructions done where scars are barely visible, because the surgeons have gone in around the nipple, or under the breast. These two I am talking about were done on very young woman, and the results were amazing. If you do go down this pathway, try and get a few opinions from a couple of plastic surgeons to see who can do what. They should all have before and after photos to show you.
