Hello again
It's taken me almost a year now to finally navigate my way back to this site. My story -short version- diagnosed 24/4/13 with grade 3 IDC stage 3a TNBC right breast, tumour 3.2x5.7cm.
Lumpectomy 9/5...
I am TNBC too, and had bilateral mastectomies and then hysterectomy a year before you did. I hope you recover quickly, too - after the first few days it's hard to remember not to lift things because you feel practically normal again - just a bit of a tummy ache. We are so lucky they can do things laparoscopically now.
I was also Stage 3 when diagnosed, and did the chemo-radiation road, which finished for me at the end of 2012. It was just the 2nd anniversary of surgery this month, and I wanted to tell you that life has pretty much returned to normal and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Although I was always fit and healthy, I take extra care now with diet and exercise, and luckily have a wonderful husband who backs me up in all of it.
I hope you are home soon and feeling 100% better. Take care. Michelle xx
