Double Mastectomy with Y shaped closures

Yes diffetent procedures ...mine look like an upside down T. I believe the Y shaped incision mastectomy is done to prevent dog ears occurring as big breasts start from under your armpit and without the breast weight it just sits there. I have a bit if this even with reconstruction. I would imagine all mastectomies are painful. ..even 3 weeks later regardless of incision shape. Because of reconstruction also I was in quite a lot of pain for 6 weeks and still need pillow support in bed even now at 12 weeks.
