Nup, not dumb! Chances are, you may not have had any, @sister - as with you having had a mastectomy I am not sure if they'd leave any markers. As I understand it, they are put there in the breast tissue for 'followup' scans/mammograms/xrays to identify as an area that has been disturbed by either biopsy or surgery, so as not create a scare of 'new lesions' at subsequent screenings, when it may be scar tissue.
