Amoena Breast Forms

Hello everyone

I have just spoken with a lingerie shop some 75 kms from home re the Amoena breast forms.  The trained fitter was not available but the lady was very knowledgable as she assists the fitter when they are busy.

She told me that the only Amoena form designed to wear against the skin is the Contact range.

All others, including the Natura, are designed to fit in the pocketted bra.  The beauty of the Natura is that it flattens when lying down.  Apparently feels more natural.  It is also quite soft.

The lady said not to rush into purchasing a permanent breast form.  Some ladies are anxious to get measured and get a proper form however the Berlei post op bra and soft forms are designed to be worn for up to 12 weeks after surgery.  This provides time for the chest wall or breast to heal and the scars to be minimal.  The longer you wait the better the flatness and the better fit is able to be made.  This will also determine the best shape prosthesis given the shape of the scars.

I am so glad I am taking the time to check into all this and I will happily wear the Berlie gear until I feel the scar is at it's best, or close to.
