Yes it sounds like cording.....mine ran from under my arm ( i had positive node axilliary clearance as well as lumpectomy 15/1 and re excision and the added bonus of a drain) I also had neuralgia all the way down the back of my arm. This is quite common as they have interfered with all of the nerve endings in that area...I still get weird nipple sensation and pinching after all this time....and i still have a blue boob too!
I can't stress enough the importance of doing the post op exercises! They have become an everyday habit! My arm is just now come good, with a little cording left in my inner wrist and I still am numb under my arm and along the top back half of my arm. If you feel you are struggling with the cording, ask to see a physio....
I wish i could get a comfy bra! (i'm 14HH) it's impossible to find a post op bra in my size so I have made do by taking the wires out of an existing bra, which doesn't do much for the supporting of my boobs! I cannot go braless! My size has however saved most of my breast for now, as my tumour was 7cm...
As for running etc...take the advice of your Dr, you will be tender on the inside of your breast for a while......Of course any concerns should be addressed with your team or BCN.
