Zoladex
Zoladex - what a treasure! As time goes on I thought the body would adjust but no; new side effects keep appearing. This time a monster bruise has appeared, (when you've have 17 before and only one slight bruise this looks like a monster)! Feeling, yuk! Researched medical side effects to discover this dizziness I have been suffering is part of it along with the runs, headaches, aching legs and so it goes................just needed to moan as this month is the full pack of cards of side effects rather than just one!
I have an appointment with the Oncologist for review on Tuesday; I try not to complain as it will pass and nowhere near as bad as others. Wonder if I could convince him my body doesn't need the implants anymore, ha ha! Still have 9 to go!
Or am I confused and it is my other medications clashing with Zoladex! Ugghh!
Take care all and BTW I love the birthday idea - it is really nice to receive a Happy Birthday wish from the forum when you're in the middle of feeling yuk! (medical term)

- Well it has been 4 weeks and I had to front up for the Zoladex injection again. Goodness the first 16 were without problem. No. 17 was the shocker. No. 18 was medicore and today was No. 19 which leaves 7 to go.
I don't know what it is but the fatigue has hit big time. Perhaps it's a combination of treatment and the busy time of year. Just have to roll with it!

Take care from Christine xx - Thank you all, yes my GP is extremely caring! My blood pressure reading was the best ever 109/ which pleased him no end.
Zoladex is the bane of my treatment at present, I have been so good and able to cope with the previous 16, it is the last 2 that have dragged me down. Is it because I am tired and wishing for my treatment to conclude that my tolerance isn't there. I am so thrilled that all my tests were clear!
I've just had another treatment of Zoladex and the aching bones are driving me nutty, sleep deprivation et cetera and I still have 8 to go, every 4 weeks, which will take me through to July 2017. Side effects!!
Thanks everyone and hope you're all heading to a new normal even though we all know it is different to the normal that we once knew!

- Christine how wonderful!! Your GP sounds fantastic too. I think you should do something lovely for yourself on Thursday in celebration :) and relish the thought that you would have been at the oncologists but now you don't have to be - Wooooooohoooooooooo!!!!!!

- Woo hoo! My tumour markers have come back all clear! Woo hoo so happy! There are arthritic changes, which is normal for anyone in my age group. My thyroid is upset but that goes hand in hand with the bad month I had and a further blood test before next treatment to see if it has settled! Today I've once again had treatment, 8 to go, and Steve (GP) was even more gentle than usual, if it is possible - he was very upset that I had experienced a bad month and that he hadn't see a reaction like I'd had. We'd taken photos, thank goodness for our mobile phones these days and I've still got scarring from the last treatment! Now I can cancel Thursday's appointment with the Onc and change it back to 3 months, thank goodness!
Hope everyone else gets good news because gee it makes you feel good! - Isn't that gorgeous - thank you - my other job which is voluntary is looking after a Cemetery and I am arranging a funeral today for a lady who has lost the battle - it is the reality of where we are all at and the flowers are greatly appreciated on all levels
